Amanda + Brian } Lake Almanor, California

Home is where the heart is, right? So, why not get married at the family cabin? Especially when its a lake front property that looks like this one. Now Amanda and Brian get to look back and remember where some of their favorite memories were made... it doesn't get better than that! It was so awesome working with these two.

Best of luck to both you!

Mia + Joe } Sun Valley, Idaho

I'm not sure where to start with this one.
-
Maybe I should start by saying this magical day in June took place in the backyard of family friend. Yet the word "backyard" just doesn't seem quite adequate. Lets go with "Valley".
-
Maybe I should say that Mia and Joe are truly some of the sweetest clients I've worked with. And Mia, well, she was absolutely stunning in a wedding dress that was made by her cousin. Wait... lets replace "made" with the word "created" and the word "cousin" with "amazing designer".
-
Maybe I should just stop talking and let the photos do that for me. :)
xoxo.

Laura & Ben } Oakland, California

I've now had the privilege to work with all but one sibling in the Brunsvold family and it's truly been amazing. I have to say, it will be a sad day after their brother weds, I'll have to start making up excuses to hang out with them. Ha!
All told, it was a perfect day for Laura & Ben which included astounding (and I mean that in every sense of the word) food, friends, some with serious music talent, and an awesome blend of east coast and west families celebrating and just having a blast. Exactly how a wedding should be. :)

Until next time!

Jessie & Dave } San Francisco

I had a blast shooting this wedding. Jessie & Dave had some of their close friends & family gather at City Hall for a short & sweet ceremony and then we quickly drove out to the coast to finish off the photos. For the first time I was hiking Sutro Baths (and with my camera)! For Jessie and Dave, having spent a lot of time in that area, it was the ideal place for them. Thanks for the suggestions, guys! Beautiful day, beautiful wedding.
Keep in touch.

Anne Marie + Paul } Tulum, Mexico

One of the many perks of shooting weddings is that I often meet really unique people.  I travel to destinations and dream later that I'm living there; on a boat, in a cabana, under a thatched roof, or even in a 32 foot-high-tree-house perched above the amazon. You know the type.... the type that wants to create a wedding experience for their families and friends; a vacation that lends itself to  relaxation, culture, adventure, quality-time, wave dives, bird calls, binoculars, fresh coconuts, cenotes, fantastic food, lightning and maybe even thunder (the real stuff)
Anna and Paul: invitation, gladly, excepted!

Anna, Darren & Avery } somewhere near Saint Mary's College.

I've had the pleasure to work with Anna and Darren multiple times and every time has been a blast. On this last photo shoot I finally got to meet little Avery. I now know that she loves to eat flowers, she's very interested in the camera and she enjoys lazy days around the pool (especially when she can splash her tiny-little-baby feet in the water). It's pretty cute. Until next time guys....have fun out there in the boonies. I'll always make a special trip out for you. xoxo

Sonia + Dada } City Hall, San Fracisco

This was one of the most awesome 3 hour weddings I've ever shot. You guys were so fun to work with. Honestly, I think luck was on our side; we got the rotunda, the weather was fabulous & we found a bikecar to tow us around for 20 minutes. It all just seemlessly worked out in our favor.
I hope you enjoy perusing the photos on the blog and in the gallery. Stay in touch, newlyweds!

Dan + Jennifer } Tilden Park, Berkeley

Hey Newlyweds, I really just want to say thanks for letting Lauren and I be apart of the festivities. Honestly, such a unique and special wedding. I loved how you played some of the best dance scenes overhead on the projector. I'm gonna just say I'll probably steal that idea for my own wedding. It was fantastic getting to know you and all your family & friends. What a great group of people!
You guys are going to have an amazing life together. I can tell. I like to call my self an expert now. I know, i know...it's a gift. But you guys have it. Don't be strangers please!

Salute & Congratulations.

Dale & Stephanie } St. Patrick's Church, San Francsico

Hey Newlyweds! I'm excited to share these photos with you. You were both troopers battling the cold and fog up on Corona Heights but I think all the work paid off. I know we only had 3 short hours together but we still managed to get some great shots. I'm also personally *very* happy I finally got the opportunity to shoot a wedding at St. Patrick's Church. What a beautiful place. Please keep in touch and congratulations again!

David & Jaime } The Culinary Institute of America

I have always wanted to photograph a wedding here. I had driven past the grand structure more than once and wondered what the fantastical stone, Hogwarts-like-castle looked like inside. Although there were no moving staircases in sight, I was definitely still impressed. What's more, the intoxicating smell of food wafting through the walls made me *very* happy... like a giddy young girl descending the stairs on Christmas morning. The ceremony was held outside, and even on a chilly night in December, the atmosphere was warm and romantic. I loved this wedding.

Cheers to you guys!

Shane + John } Great American Music Hall

I'm totally down with this kind of wedding.... get married on Friday (in this case, City hall), have a nice, formal dinner with family somewhere in the city, call it an early night. Next day, put the dress back on, invite 10 of your best friends over to drink champagne, make your way to one of the oldest & coolest venues in town then dance until the clock strikes midnight! And, maybe even later.
It was a fun, FUN celebration and you guys are amazing. Big hugs.

Jesse + Lilly } Bucerias, Mexico

Jesse and Lilly were married in Mexico. It was a beautiful wedding, amazing local food, fantastic details and a wonderful mix of family and friends. There were so many awesome moments (some serendipitous) like the horses that appeared just at the right time on the beach, the lighting of the lanterns over the water, and at the end of the night, the entire wedding party in the pool.  The margaritas were fantastic (had a few myself) and Jesse and Lilly were amazing to work with. The town of Bucerias, where part of Lilly's family live, was a perfect landscape. When we arrived on Friday we were super duper excited. I knew it was going to be a memorable weekend. It was!

Rebecca + Nathan } City Hall, San Francisco

This fabulous wedding was short but oh-so sweet! Honestly, I can't believe we had less than 3 hours together! Regardless though, I think we managed to pull it off and capture some great memories. I have to thank you for following my, sometimes crazy, requests to climb buildings and such. You guys were fantastic. I really hope to see you again soon!

Lindsay + Adam } Inverness, California

Every now and then I really get lucky. I meet (and get to work with) two people that could be great friends. Like, you could hang with them on a regular basis. Lindsay and Adam are both creative, generous, witty and just really, really sweet people. They choose to tie the knot in one of the coolest, most unique little places in the bay area. Weather in Point Reyes can change quickly. A sunny morning can turn abruptly into something that feels similar to a wet wool blanket. But not on this day! The sun was shining down, love was in the air and the celebration was filled with fabulous food, great wine and lots of dancing. A recipe for a damn good day.

Julie + Josh } Bordeaux, France

Welp...pretty fantastic wedding, right? I must admit that, clearly, I was VERY excited for your wedding weekend! I know, I know.... it was rough traveling to the south of France but we managed it and the memory of the Chateau Lagorce will always be pretty sweet and special to me (and I'm sure everyone else too).
I, hereby, vote for a 25 year reunion, same place and same awesome people. I love you guys and I will definitely be seeing you in the city! Drinks por favor!

Mel + Matt } Bay Area

Hi Mel and Matt,
I'm really just so excited to post these images. If I had one word to describe this wedding it would be..... F.U.N. I loved every minute of it. I would think having fun on your wedding day is up there on the priority list, so if this was your goal, then I should say... job well done. All the details were equally amazing as well and I've included some of these in the post. Honestly, I had a hard time choosing which pics I love the most. I think you'll be super happy with them. And that makes me happy! Please keep in touch guys. Let's grab that drink soon.
